Frank J. Monteiro
Born and raised in Waterbury, CT and currently resides in Prospect, CT. Graduated
from Holy Cross High School (Waterbury, CT) in 1988 and Bentley University in
1992 (Waltham, MA) with a BS in Accounting.

Frank joined MacDermid Incorporated in June 1998 as General Accounting Manager
for the US operations. During his career, held various positions within MacDermid
including Chief Financial Officer when Platform Specialty Products Corporation
purchased MacDermid in 2013. Upon the sale of MacDermid in 2013, Frank was
promoted to Chief Financial Officer of Platform Specialty Products (NYSE listed PAH,
$4.0B in Revenue). In September 2015, Frank was promoted to the position of Chief
Operating Officer of the Performance Solutions business of Platform Specialty
Products ($2.5B in revenue operation). Upon retiring from MacDermid Performance
Solutions/Platform Specialty Products in September 2017 after a 19-year career, he
formed Brass Axe Capital with two friends.

Brass Axe Capital is a venture capital organization that owns positions in several
local businesses and works with various management teams for operational and
financial support.

From June of 2019-2022, he led Drew Marine as President & CEO with the focus of
rebuilding the global brand and presence of the company. During that period, he
built a manufacturing plant and global research & development facility in
Waterbury, rebuilt back-office functions, and performed focused sales targeting
plans.

In September 2022, Frank joined Post University as Chief of Staff and later moved
into the Chief Financial Officer position when the university started a sales process.
Upon completing the deal to sell Post University to UNAB in Chile, Frank took the
position as President of Sentinel U, a nursing simulation business aimed at
empowering nurse education through innovative real-world virtual simulations,
dynamic digital teaching resources, and outcome-driven insights.

– Palace Theater- Board of Directors member (2014-2019).
– Waterbury Sportsmen’s Club- Board of Directors, Co-Treasurer (2013-
Present)
– Greater Waterbury United Way- Board of Directors (2014-2019), member of
the Finance Committee (2014-2019), Co-Chair 2016/2017 Annual
Campaign.
– St Mary’s Hospital Foundation Board (2016-2020), former Chairman of the
Board.
– Country Club of Waterbury- Board of Directors (2017-Present)
